Inspection Before Using Steel Silos

Visual Inspection
Before putting the silo into use, a comprehensive visual inspection must be conducted. Check the silo body for deformation, cracks, etc., especially the welds on the silo walls, ensuring they are strong and free of leaks or incomplete welds. Check the sealing of ventilation openings and inspection holes on the silo roof to ensure good airtightness and prevent rainwater and dust from entering the silo.

Foundation Inspection
The foundation is crucial for the stability of the steel silo. Check the foundation for settlement, cracks, etc. Uneven settlement of the foundation may cause the silo to tilt, affecting normal use and even causing safety accidents. The condition of the foundation can be judged by measuring its elevation and levelness.

Equipment Commissioning
The conveying equipment, ventilation equipment, temperature measuring equipment, etc., inside the steel silo all need to be commissioned. The conveying equipment must be ensured to operate normally, smoothly feeding grain into and out of the silo. The ventilation equipment must be checked to ensure that the air volume and air pressure of the fans meet the requirements and that the ventilation ducts are unobstructed. Temperature measuring equipment must accurately display the temperature of different parts of the warehouse in order to detect abnormalities in the grain in a timely manner.
